I had a couture gown that needed to be reworked in one week. I was panicked because most tailors cannot work with the fabric and I had very little time. Within 5 days, Juanita had reworked my gown perfectly, even though I had forgotten my shoes at the first fitting. I am blown away by how much I love it and how reasonable the price was given the alterations and time constriction. I cannot recommend Juanita enough!

Ms.Juanita has been custom tailoring finery for Columbia's ladies in the know for eons. Her upstairs salon, tucked away on Main Street, features plush carpeting, crystal chandaliers, silk draperies and plenty of mirrors to watch her work her magic for your special day. Her downstairs neighbor, Lori runs House of Fabrics and makes regular jaunts to New York for the finest fabrics and embellishments. See how many Miss SC and other pageant winners she has adorned. Don't be worried that she's tucked away upstairs. She stays booked and busy. Her sweet grand-daughter plays the violin as she sews. Best of luck, whatever the occasion. She worked her magic for me on many memorable occasions, redesigning a vintage St.Pucci silk gown for my wedding.

Juanita's Designs is a miracle worker. I had to take my bridesmaid dress to her to fix somebody else's mistake. She was able to fix it and hem the rest of the dress as it needed to be and it looked great! You couldn't even tell! She was also able to do it in 3 business days and for $20. Definitely my new go-to seamstress!

I had an alteration emergency one Tuesday afternoon. I suddenly discovered that my bridesmaid dress was too long, for a wedding the upcoming Saturday. I called around to local tailors and everyone turned me away, except Juanita. She was very lovely to deal with, and told me to bring it right on over, it would be finished by Friday lunchtime. I rushed over, and immediately felt like I was in good hands. When I picked up my dress, it was just perfect! I had the straps shortened a bit too, and everything looked like it had originally come that way. One down point is that she doesn't take credit/debit cards, so remember to bring cash or a check.

From what I understand she has been in her location for over 25 years. She can do anything from minor to major alterations as well as custom items. A friend of mine is having her design a dress after one that Salma Hayek wore.

I took my $2,000 wedding dress there to be altered because I was real picky about the cleanliness, and handling of my garments.  She told me what she could do to my dress, and I came back within a couple of weeks to fit and it was perfect! Was so happy.  Have recently been back to bring some of my other clothes to be altered. Quick turn around. Satisfied repeat customer.  Great friendly service, very clean and elegant environment.  Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful when it came to altering my wedding dress. I got it back within a very reasonable time and price. I also had some expensive jeans and a suit altered too and I highly recommend them. Very clean and organize place that looks like a studio out of NY.

She is a wonderful designer! Prom, pageant, ball, or wedding gown she can do it all. I didnt have the same experiance that the previous reviwer had and I have had 4 gowns made by her. I really recommend Juanita.
